Richard Phonix from heart N soul helped me to register my music with PRS and also register my EP on CD Baby ( A digital distributor). My then band ‘Robyn Steward and the Hatonauts’ played our first gig outside of London at the Rockhouse in Brighton. At first the audience did’t like us, but-by the end, they wanted a encore of the last song. It got played on Resonance FM.

July 2017

Andy Diagram (www.andydiagram.com) mixed and mastered my EP. It was launched at the Mint Street Festival in South London.

6 months into my support with Heart n Soul we had a meeting. Mark and Rich advised me to get a residency. In the meeting, I e-mailed a local venue (vinyl) I knew about and they said yes!
My residency was called Robyn’s Rocket and me and Andy Diagram’s duo “two horns” had our first gig.

Achieved my 2017 goal of a gig once a month. The Jazz Biscuits (a duo of Robyn Steward and Andrew “Hatonaut” Foster) had our first gig. We used a looper at a gig for the first time.

Since the first lockdown the Heart N Soul music jam’s moved online, when I was ill with COVID-19 some months this was the only hour of work I did , William King who is co host of the jams makes tracks out of peoples sounds recorded at the jams , we released a EP of the tracks made on the last hub jam ( The jams will still continue but as part of Heart N Soul in general rather then just the hub). As we as being awaraded funding from help musicians UK to help me learn to mix music , I started a successful kickstarter campaign to make a vinyl pressing of Robyn Rocket and People You May of Heard Of. It also open doors for support in kind a 50 minute coaching call with a music PR company and distribution.

I was given a grant by Help Musicians UK to learn how to mix my own tracks.

on new years eve I made Danalogue a cassette tape ,using space trrumpet and korg micro preset synth, I took out the samples of people we know and uploaded the tape onto bandcamp. Iko Cherie played mystery man on new years eve !
